In here you will find different information about the Karuk tribe now. There are various pages about the council, the plans for their casino, different resources offered to the people at Happy Camp, jobs, and much more
This is where I acquired the information on Naomi Lang. There are various Notable Native Americans along with other information on different tribes This website is an online store created by Nisha Supahan in order to help local cultural artists get their name out there and sell their artwork. There are some pictures of the jewelry before and now, information about the artists and the kind of artwork the provide, a blog, testimonials, and contact information. From my understanding, the artwork is sold through Etsy This website has a lot of historical information on the tribe. From what I read in the Copyright page, it is not written by a member, but the information seems quite objective, and in a couple of places siding with the Karuk when they speak of the injustices brought on by the white man. Here, we find information on different dates in which one is not really allowed to be near the tribe due to their ceremonies. It goes quite in depth about the importance of these ceremonies and the kind of interruptions they have had before, and who they do not want disturbing them. |
